We are a team of Registered Hand Therapists: New Zealand Registered Physiotherapists & Occupational Therapists with advanced skills in assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow.

What is Hand Therapy?

Hand Therapy can be described as a combination of the art and science of rehabilitation of the lower arm: from the fingertips to above the elbow. Hand Therapists assess and manage a wide range of conditions for both adults and children. This includes injuries caused at work, sports or home. Some common examples include:

  • Broken bones
  • Dislocations
  • Crush injuries
  • Cuts & amputations
  • Strains & sprains
  • Tendon & nerve injuries
  • Burns
  • Arthritis
  • Carpel Tunnel Syndrome
